Eurhealth summerschool on Lifecourse and Ageing

Activity: OtherTypes of External academic engagement - Contribution to the work of national or international committees and working groups

Description

There is growing evidence that developmental and biological disruptions during the early years of life can lead to age-related diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. Our EU-funded project is investigating how pre- and peri-natal factors may cause disease in adulthood. This one-off summer school is a spin - off from the project to let people see how our research is progressing and to look at the ways studies into lifecourse and the new fields of epigenetics and the microbiome are impacting on the scientific world. ********************************************************************************** PROGRAMME 09.30 -09.40 Opening of School: Ana Valdes 09.40 - 11.30 Session I:Can Life Course Studies unravel age-related disease?
