International Women's Day was soon approaching and on Wednesday 9th March 2022, the King’s Brazil Institute, in cooperation with the Grupo Mulheres Diplomatas do Brasil and Women in Diplomacy - London, screened the documentary Exteriores - Mulheres Brasileiras na Diplomacia (Exteriores - Brazilian Women in Diplomacy).

This documentary sceening took place in the Anatomy Lecture Theatre in King's College London's Strand Campus. This was followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Ivana Diniz, the documentary's director; H.E. Rouda Al Otaiba, the Deputy Ambassador of the UAE to London and Chair of the Women In Diplomacy Executive Committee; Dr. Alvina Hoffmann, War Studies Department of King´s College and International Relations Lecturer; Dr. Yara Evans, Imperial College of London, Specialist in Violence Against Women and Girls, and Christiane Aquino Bonomo, representative from the Group of Brazilian Female Diplomats and Deputy Consul General of Brazil in London. Topics centred around women in diplomacy as well as women diplomats in Brazil and beyond.
