Description

Professor Frank Kelly interviewed for article in the Daily Telegraph titled "Diesel engines responsible for 7,000 deaths a year". Kelly said: ‘We have had a vast penetration of diesel vehicles into the transport sector. Diesel drives all our buses, drives all our taxis and drives one in two of the cars on the road.’ Martin Williams, also from the ERG, also supported this view and suggested that the recent high levels of air pollution were not just a natural phenomenon.
