Israel-Hamas war could have 'major impact' on 2024 US elections, expert warns

Dr Andreas Krieg, professor of Defence Studies at the School of Security Studies at King's College London, revealed how the war and the US' response could have serious domestic implications. He said: "It's going to have a major impact on US elections as well. And it's going to be an obstacle for the Biden administration to get reelected."

Commenting on the apparent indiscriminate targeting by the IDF, Dr Krieg said: "That's the problem for the US government, because the US government is going into a new election cycle from January onwards. So they need to bring tension down to a manageable level, to make sure this doesn't become a huge obstacle in the election in the campaign."
