Dr Andreas Krieg of King's College London on TalkTV: "Israel is causing death and destruction without a viable strategy in place to remove Hamas. The military can only succeed in Gaza against Hamas as a movement and an idea if Palestinians are presented with a viable political alternative in the period after the war. So far Israel is operating in a vacuum...The 7th October massacre is a new start and a ground zero where both sides have to think about what has to change. Something is got to give. Palestinians need to be presented with a political solution to occupation"
