Volkswagen's rigging of emissions tests means they may be responsible for nearly one million tonnes of air pollution each year. Dr Gary Fuller, Analytical and Environmental Sciences, said: Since 2003 scientists have been saying things are not right. It's not just the VW story; this is part of something much bigger. It has a serious public health impact. Many members of Environmental Research Group have been interviewed about this topic including Dr Heather Walton, Professor Frank Kelly and Professor Martin Williams.
