Why is Precarious Employment Bad for Mental Health?

Activity: Talk or presentationOral presentation

Description

This session explored the concept of ‘precarious employment’ and how this influences people’s mental health. The session was facilitated by members of the CSMH Work, Welfare Reform and Mental Health Programme, Annie Irvine and Liming Li, with contribution from Dr Fiona Christie (Manchester Metropolitan University, Decent Work and Productivity Research Centre). The session offered an opportunity to engage in active dialogue with interested stakeholders and begin a conversation about how the CSMH shapes new research on the theme of precarious employment over the coming year.
