The geometry group is in the process of expansion with two new professors appointed in 2009 and 2011, and three new lecturers appointed in 2010. The research of group members covers areas in algebraic geometry, differential geometry, geometric analysis, Lie theory and quantum groups.
The group offers PhD projects in geometry and contributes to the MSc in Mathematics. It runs a weekly geometry seminar at King's College and together with Imperial College London and Queen Mary University of London organizes the London Geometry and Topology Seminar. Individual group members are involved in research activities and collaborations within the UK and abroad
