Organisation profile

Population health involves looking at the bigger picture of oral health and disease and its contribution to the global burden of disease. The health of individuals is enhanced through self care, high quality dental care, a supportive environment and healthy public policy.

The primary goal of the Population and Patient Health Group is to improve the health and quality of life of individuals and populations through the development of evidence based interventions at individual and societal levels.

Central to this goal is a commitment to improve oral health, reduce the burden of disease and minimise inequalities in health through promoting health through oral health and promoting access to high quality oral and dental care, provided by an engaged workforce.
