Research interests

She graduated from the University of Valencia in Spain with a degree in Pharmacy, before specialising in Clinical Microbiology and Parasitology at Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid. This specialisation led her to become a Consultant Microbiologist.

Currently, she works as a Clinical Scientist at St Thomas' Hospital, Synnovis, leading Next Generation sequencing initiatives in the Infection Sciences division. She's also pursuing a Ph.D. at King's College University, focusing on metagenomics in clinical microbiology and infectious diseases. Her research interests include areas such as long-read sequencing, metagenomics, and antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
