Clinical Experience

Fully trained and accredited in Cardiovascular Medicine and General Internal Medicine. Extensive experience in clinical adult invasive and non-invasive cardiology, including emergency cardiology, percutaneous coronary intervention, acute coronary care and heart failure. Extensive experience of invasive haemodynamics including left ventricular pressure-volume analyses, assessment of diastolic function and measurement of coronary flow and pressure.

Extensive experience of teaching medical students and clinical trainees in Cardiology.

Established the King’s College London Integrated Academic F1/F2 Foundation training programme (2005-6) 

Extensive experience in PhD student supervision (23 completed theses as first supervisor). 

Director of BHF 4-year PhD studentship programme at King’s College London (2004 - ) 

Director of BHF 3-year Interdisciplinary PhD studentship programme at King’s College London (2008-)

Co-Director of Joint PhD programme between the King’s BHF Centre of Excellence and the University of Goettingen Hear Centre (2013-)
