Personal profile
Research interests
Elucidation of the mechanisms, biomarkers and the genetics of processes that that regulate remodeling of pathologies in vascular sytsems. My research team also leads and is involved in research programmes that aim to develop structural and functional imaging modalities that facilitate diagnosis, stage and predict disease progression, and can be used as measures of outcome following treatment. Our research uses, in vitro and in vivo models of diseases and investigations in patients. Specific areas of research include:
venous disease - thrombosis and vein valve develoment;
arterial disease - atherosclerosis and aneurysm.
