I am a PhD student in the UKRI CDT in Safe and Trusted AI. My research seeks to model moral reasoning as a subjective, dialectical process with applications to the study and manipulation of large language models.
My professional background has primarily involved agent-based modelling of complex adaptive systems (for example, the UK retail banking market) in interdisciplinary teams involving industry, academic, and governmental stakeholders.
My undergraduate degree was in computer science and my dissertation applied agent-based epidemiological models to modelling the spread of information during the 2016 US presidental election.
My research interests are a broad subset of artificial intelligence: including formal logic and argumentation, agents and multi-agent systems, deep learning, and machine ethics.
