Alex's research interests are in contemporary performance-making and medicine. Recent publications include Performance, Medicine and the Human (Bloomsbury 2020) and Performance and the Medical Body (co-edited with Gianna Bouchard, Bloomsbury 2016). She also researches through performance-making with her company, Chimera.
