Dr Alexandru Dregan

Biographical details

Dr Alex Dregan is a Lecturer in Translational Epidemiology in the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London. He obtained his PhD from the Institute of Education, University of London where he trained in life course epidemiology. He also posses an MSc in Applied Psychology from Cardiff University and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Surrey.

Research interests

 Research interests are translational epidemiology and public health, large databases and electronic health records, chronic inflammation and cardiovascular disease, vascular risk management in older people, and cognitive impairment in the context of ageing and multimorbidity.
