Dr. Ana Angelova Volponi is a Senior Lecturer in Regenerative Dentistry Education.
She is a Deputy Director of the MSc Course in Regenerative Dentistry.
She joined KCL in 2008 after completing her PhD at Tokyo Medical and Dental University in Japan and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the team of Prof. Paul Sharpe before becoming a Teaching Fellow in 2013.
She is also a leads Biomedicine in Relation to Dentistry 2 module and is Assessment lead for the first year undergraduate dental program.
She is a qualified dentist and taught Restorative Dentistry at Guy’s Hospital, KCL, in the period 2014-2016.
Her research interest focuses on Dental Stem cells and creation of Bio-teeth using different tissue and organ engineering techniques.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
