Personal profile
Research interests (short)
I'm a final year Clinical Neuroscience & Psychology PhD student investigating the role of the immune system in depression and obesity. My study specifically looks at how a range of inflammatory markers (C-Reactive Protein, cytokines and cortisol) are related to clinical symptoms of depression and weight gain/loss.
I'm also passionate about communicating science through blog writing, exhibitions and film. My science writing focuses on how groundbreaking medical and neuroscience research is connected to holistic health and creativity, in a way that encourages a wider audience to engage with science.
