Arnold Hunt

My main research interests are in the social, cultural and religious history of Britain, 1500-1900. I am also interested in bibliography, the history of the book trade, and the history of libraries and collecting. My book 'The Art of Hearing: English Preachers and their Audiences 1590-1640' was published in 2010, and I am currently editing vol. IX (Parochial Sermons) of the Oxford Edition of the Sermons of John Donne.

I am a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries; Senior Research Fellow of King's College, London; co-convenor of the Religious History of Britain seminar at the Institute of Historical Research; module convenor for the Early Modern Literature MA taught in association with King's College, London; and on the editorial board of the Oxford Edition of the Sermons of John Donne.
