I am an interdisciplinary scholar of social justice, with a focus on the intersections of sexuality, race, gender and migration. Blending queer theory, transnational feminism, affect theory, and postcolonial studies, my work explores how sexual and affective dynamics shape social inequalities, nationalism, and migration policies, particularly in the context of contemporary Europe.
My first monograph, Affective Bordering: The Emotional Politics of Race, Migration, and Deservingness, examines the emotional dimensions of migration control, using Germany as a case study to explore how emotions shape and challenge borders.
I have also co-edited volumes and special issues such as Transnational Anti-Gender Politics: Feminist Solidarity in Times of Global Attacks and The Sexual Politics of Border Control which analyse the intersection of sexuality, border politics, and anti-gender movements globally.
Before joining King's College London, I completed my PhD at the London School of Economics and served as a Fellow in Gender and Sexuality there. I have also been a visiting scholar at Columbia University (US) and the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil).
