Bowen Xia

Bowen Xia is a PhD Student in the Department of International Development at KCL. She holds an MSc in International Migration and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BSocSc in Political Science from the National University of Singapore. She is interested in the research of rural-urban migration, gender and migration, and intersectional inequalities. She works with feminist visualization methodologies. Her PhD project explores the interaction between rural-urban migration and gender relations through the lens of changes in household division of labor and women’s bargaining power. Her project is supervised by Dr. Charlotte Goodburn and Dr. Ye Liu.
