Research interests
My PhD topic is 'London Jewry and the First World War: A Societal Crisis?'
My research focuses on the transformative impact of WW1 on the London Jewish community. Themes include: the impact of the Jewish Battalions on Jewish nationalism and Anglo-Jewish patriotism; rationing and the Anglicisation of Jewish Food; the 1918 election and the radicalisation of Jewish politics; and the nature of British wartime 'Anti-semitism'. I welcome any discussions with researchers interested in these themes.
