Research interests
Christopher is currently engaged in research as to the legal and contractual implications of Building Information Modelling for the Construction Law Sector. Christopher also has research interests in new forms of Building Procurement and the law of Multinational Enterprises.

Biographical details
Christopher Howard graduated from Oxford in 1995 and qualified as a solicitor at City firm Trowers & Hamlins LLP in 2003. He completed his LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law at London University in 2014. Christopher spent three years as a specialist construction lawyer at Trowers & Hamlins, where he advised high-profile clients such as Berkeley Homes and Glasgow Housing Association on a range of innovative projects. His clients included some of the first teams to adopt the PPC2000 and TPC2005 forms of contract, as well as early users of NEC. Christopher subsequently spent 8 years working at BPP University, where he was Senior Lecturer in law teaching a range of subject areas and with responsibilities including the roles of Module Leader and Programme Leader. Christopher has worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at King’s College London since December 2013, joining the Centre of Construction Law as a full time Senior Lecturer in May 2014.
Christopher Howard has wide ranging experience of online education, having taught in the online environment for a number of years on blended and distance learning programmes. He also has a Certificate in Effective Online Teaching from Oxford University. Chris has provided online undergraduate tutorials in Land Law and Company Law using the Adobe Connect software. He also introduced online learning to the MSc in Construction Law for the first time in 2015, providing the first online tutorials on Contract Law and the English Legal System. In addition, he has also provided vivas and dissertation supervision via Skype access and has been involved in the creation and use of online Q&A forums, e-tutorials and other online self-study materials.
