Dr Craig Robinson is Reader in Business Education at King’s Business School and a member of the Strategy, International Management and Entrepreneurship department. Craig joined King’s Business School in 2021 and has been teaching strategy, management and leadership since starting in academia in 2007. He has also worked with executive students in private and public sector organisations in the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa through leading executive workshops and supervision of seven professional doctorates in areas related to scenario planning, strategic agility and strategy execution.
As MSc International Management Programme Director from 2021-2025 and Associate Dean Quality and Accreditation from 2022-2025, Craig led the initial AMBA accreditation process for the KBS Executive MBA and MSc International Management, securing the ‘triple crown’ for the school less than seven years after its founding. He also led the EQUIS re-accreditation process in 2025, the now annual Principles of Responsible Management Education reporting process and oversaw the development and launch of six new degree programmes during that period. Externally, Craig is well-known in business and management education circles as an AMBA accreditation assessor in the UK, Europe and South America. He is also recognised as a Principal Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, a Certified Management and Business Educator and a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools International Committee.
Craig’s expertise cuts across the fields of strategic management, education leadership and management development. He has published in journals such as Long Range Planning and Technological Forecasting & Social Change with studies of environmental scanning, strategy analysis and management perspectives on the circular economy and has a widely read practitioner- and MBA-focused Strategy textbook. His education and management development work involves studies of programme leadership in research-intensive environments and an identity-centred exploration of teaching-focused careers. This is coupled with a record of knowledge exchange with the Further Education sector in England, where Craig has worked with middle and senior leaders across more than 100 colleges on their professional development. He is also interested in student skills development and information literacy, which feeds into his teaching at KBS via leadership of the MSc International Management IMPACT Professional Development Week and the Business Consulting Project.
