Biographical details

Darcio Pimenta started his PhD at the King’s College London – School of Global Affairs/Brazil Institute in October 2017. He holds an MSc in Global Perspective from King’s College London. Also he holds a BA First Class Honours in Business Management from Universidade 9 de Julho, Extension Degree in Management Consultant for SME’s from COGEAE/PUC Sao Paulo and MBA from FGV (Fundacao Getulio Vargas).

Research interests

His research investigates the process of internationalisation of Brazilian small and medium-size enterprises (SME’s). He compares the entry model in the international market between start-up’s and traditional SME’s. In addition, his research examine the behaviour of Brazilian entrepreneur to access the foreign market and how the Government promoting and empowering small and medium enterprises in Brazil.
