Research interests
My primary research interest is cardiovascular disease in pregnancy in low and middle-income countries, specifically:
- screening for undiagnosed cardiovascular disease in pregnancy
- managing women with underlying cardiovascular disease during pregnancy
- impact of preeclampsia on long-term cardiovascular health
Current research:
- Point-of-care techniques to screen for underlying heart disease in pregnancy by non-specialist clinicians.
- Pointof-care blood tests to identify women at higher long-term risk of cardiovascular disease as a consequence of devleoping preeclampsia.
