Research interests

Early career researcher in social anthropology and performance studies, she writes to critically engage with social, political, affective dimensions of dance in everyday life in contemporary South Asia. She has long-term ethnographic interests in indigenous communities living in the states of northeast of India. Her current research on artistic performances is at the intersections of marginality, precarity, resistance. Other research interests: screen-dance, photo-ethnography, archived photographs and films,   performance art in the Anthropocene.
