Research interests

Our research group has an international reputation for developing new and effective psychological treatments for anxiety disorders.  Our current research is focused on improving the efficacy and accessibility of talking therapies for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Social Anxiety Disorder (Social Phobia).  As part of this work I am currently involved in two randomized controlled clinical trials.

Furthermore, I am also interested in the impact of social anxiety on technologically mediated communication, including the social networking site facebook.   We are conducting a number of studies exploring the relationship between social anxiety and facebook use.
