    Biographical details

    Emma joined King's as a Senior Lecturer in Medical Ultrasound Education and Academic Programme Director for King's MSc in Clinical Ultrasound in 2020. Emma is a Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered Clinical Scientist specialising in Ultrasound Physics. In addition to her main role at King's, she also works as Academic lead for the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust Medical Physics department, and recently published a textbook 'Practical Medical Physics; A guide to the work of hospital Clinical Scientists'. In 2020, Emma was highly commended by England's Chief Scientific Officer for her research using Doppler ultrasound for the detection of brain injury. Emma is a former Editor-in-Chief of the journal 'Ultrasound' and is a previous Honorary Secretary and member of Council of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS).
