Fabio Morabito

I am a musicologist and cultural historian working on the intellectual history of musical authorship in the nineteenth century. My work engages with a variety of problems recently raised in nineteenth-century scholarship across the humanities: about changing conceptions of authorship, the cult of eccentricity and the origins of celebrity, the commercialization of selfhood, definitions of intellectual property and copyright, and the pan-European public sphere.
