Research interests

My research aims to understand the role of gene alterations in the development of cancer.

My group develops and applies a combination of computational and experimental methods to study cancer genes in the context of gene and network evolution. We analyse omic data deriving directly from cancer patients to identify patient-specific cancer genes and vulnerability that can be exploited in therapy. We work with pan-cancer data, but have a particular focus on colorectal and oesophageal cancers.

We set up and maintain the Network of Cancer Genes, a public resource of manually curated cancer genes (http://ncg.kcl.ac.uk/).

Research interests (short)

Cancer genomics and systems biology of cancer genes to identify novel therapeutic targets.
