It examines education policy in Lebanon, Northern Ireland and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia since the Taef, Belfast and Ohrid peace agreements. By drawing differences and similarities in curricular policy and structural reform, it highlights the scope for employing education for reconciliation in deeply divided societies. The PhD was awarded by King’s College London in October 2014.

She also follows debates on education reform and its contribution to peace and reconciliation after violent conflicts. Her research interests include the history and contemporary politics of Europe (including the Balkans) and of the Middle East.
Giuditta Lectures on courses on “Power-Sharing Agreements in Deeply Divided Societies”, “The Contemporary Politics of the Middle East” and “the European Union and the Middle East”.
