Research interests

I am currently employed in the Physiotherapy department as project manager on two projects: 1) A randomised controlled trial exploring tailored home exercise versus information about exercise in reducing long-term disability in adults with inflammatory neuropathy and 2) An RfPB funded feasibility study of additional trunk training in early stroke. My role on both project includes overseeing the day to day running of the trials, managing the various R&D and ethical approvals required, liaising with all research and clinical collaborators including the CLRN nurse supportign recruitment, the physiotherapists delivering therapy, I am responsible for collecting and managing quantitative and qualitative assesment data, analysing and writing up results and arranging steering group and service user group meetings.

I am a Psychologist with a background in intellectual disabilties and chronic health. My current research interests lie primarily in the field of health psychology, particularly in the impact and management of long-term conditions.
