Research interests (short)
My research is focused on the genetics of anxiety disorders and major depressive disorder. I am interested in how genetic effects underpin behavioural traits such as psychiatric disorders and personality through hypothesised and previously unmeasured phenotypes; endophenotypes. By disentangling genetic covariance between traits, environmental associations and genetic and environmental interaction effects I hope to elucidate aetological mechanisms of psychiatric disorders to guide diagnostic, preventive and treatment efforts.
