Personal profile

Research interests

My research is focused on the genetics of internalising disorders, personality, and other behaviour and outcomes. I am interested in how genetic effects underpin behavioural traits through hypothesised and previously unmeasured phenotypes; endophenotypes. My interests include (among other topics) molecular genomics, statistical genetics, machine learning, structural equation modelling, social epidemiology, and the aetiology of psychiatric (co-)morbidity. By disentangling genetic covariance between traits, environmental associations and genetic and environmental interaction effects I hope to elucidate aetological mechanisms of psychiatric disorders to guide efforts towards diagnosis, prevention and treatment.

Education/Academic qualification
