My special interest lies in regulatory signalling networks that preserve homeostasis in mammalian tissues and how this balance is disrupted during pathological processes. Mammalian cells are not static but build fascinating interactive systems that have to be tightly controlled spatially and temporally. In our current research project we aim to understand the kinetics and molecular regulatory mechanisms that underpin homeostasis.
