Biographical details
Dr Lerong Lu is Senior Lecturer in Law (Associate Professor) and Director of LLM Law & Technology Programme at the King’s College London. He is a leading expert in International Financial Law, Financial Regulation, and Law & Technology. He is the author of the book Private Lending in China (Routledge 2019) and has made over 50 publications in edited books, academic journals, and reputable law blogs published by Cambridge, Columbia, Duke, Oxford, and Tsinghua universities. He serves as the Associate Editor for the peer-reviewed Journal of Law, Ethics & Technology. He holds a PhD and an LLM (with Distinction) from the University of Leeds, and the Fellowship of UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA). Before entering academia, he practiced law as a qualified lawyer advising large corporations and financial institutions in Asia.
