    Biographical details

    Lindsay Bearne is a physiotherapist and health services researcher. Her mixed methods research portfolio focuses on the physical consequences and rehabilitation of people with long term conditions particularly rheumatic, musculoskeletal and vascular conditions.  She is Chief/ Prinicipal Investigator of several randomised controlled trials investigating the effectiveness of novel rehabilitation interventions. In 2020, she joined the NIHR Centre for Engagement and Dissemination as a Senior Research Fellow in knowledge mobilisation.

    Her research interests include

    • the development and evaluation of novel interventions to help people to manage long term conditions 
    • integrating psychologically informed treatment into health professional practice
