Research interests

Research interests include: gender, Islamist radicalisation, far-right radicalisation, women. 

Lizz is a member of the Nigeria Security Network and has a special interest in gender in the violence of Boko Haram.

Her doctoral research is funded by the ESRC.

Biographical details

Lizz worked as a radio journalist, mainly with the BBC from 1997-2013. She has produced Radio Four programmes including Woman's Hour and You and Yours, and reported for the BBC World Service, Five Live and Radio Four.
