Dr
I work on nineteenth and twentieth century British history, with particular specialism in gender history, the history of feminism, policy history, transatlantic interactions, empire, and labour history. I have published widely on the history of domestic service, masculinities, religion, and feminism. My current research centres on men's encounters with feminism in 1970s and 1980s Britain. I am also researching feminist bookshops, and moral change in late twentieth century Britain.
