    Biographical details

    Luke studied Medicine and Neuroscience at Newcastle University. He completed a Masters in Psychiatric Research at King’s College London before undertaking clinical academic training in psychiatry and experimental medicine as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow and NIHR Maudsley BRC Clinical Research Fellow. He has conducted research investigating brain glutamate dynamics in healthy and psychiatric groups and is interested in understanding the rapid acting antidepressant mechanisms of treatments including ketamine and psilocybin. Luke has been awarded an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship and will undertake his PhD, investigating the acute neural mechanisms of antidepressant response to ketamine, under the supervision of Dr James Stone, Prof Mitul Mehta and Prof Allan Young at King’s College London.
