Research interests

My research interests focus upon the challenges associated with building a more inclusive school mathematics and in understanding the mathematical practices of learners with disabilities. This involves me in investigating and designing forms of accessing and expressing mathematics that respect the divergent needs of all students, contributing to the development of teaching strategies that recognise this diversity and examining the relationships between embodied experiences, material and semiotic artefacts and mathematical cognition.
