Biographical details

Dr Maria Laura Marceddu has recently completed her PhD at King’s College London (2018), where she has also been appointed as a visiting lecturer for the international investment law course.

Maria Laura serves as a treasurer of the Society of International Economic Law (SIEL), where she is also coordinator of the investment law network.  

Maria Laura comes with an interdisciplinary background that combines International Relations (MA) and Legal expertise (PhD). She holds a BA (Laurea Triennale) in Political Sciences and an MA (Laurea Specialisitica) in International Relations (magna cum laude) at LUISS University of Rome, where she was also appointed as a teaching assistant. Whilst there she won numerous academic awards such as the ENI S.p.A Dissertation Research Abroad Fellowships.

Research interests

Maria Laura's doctoral research examines the evolution of the European Investment Policy and the implications it might have on the International investment system.

Other research interests include international economic law, focusing in particular on international investment law and policy.
