    Research interests

    My lab is interested in understanding how defects in nuclear envelope proteins lead to cardiomyopathy. We take both basic and applied approaches using cells and model organisms to elucidate the key underlying mechanisms. Find out more here.

    Biographical details

    Dr. Stroud completed his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at the University of Bristol, followed by his Wellcome Trust-funded PhD at the University of Manchester. Dr. Stroud undertook his postdoctoral training with Professor Ju Chen at the University of California, San Diego with independent funding from the National Institutes of Health and American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowships before moving to King's College London as a Research Fellow.
