Research interests

My main research interest is genetics and genomics of complex human diseases and traits. My major activity is focused around pain syndromes and traits such as low back pain, fatigue, chronic widespread pain, spine disc pathology, heat pain sensitivity. I use genetic associations and omics approaches to discover pathways underlying pain and reveal predictive biomarkers. Previously, I have been engaged in genetic studies concerning cancer, infectious diseases, and allergic disorders.
