Research interests (short)

Leveraging medical records and genetic information to answer questions about anxiety and depression, particularly in relation to psychological treatment response.

Biographical details

Following a BSc in Psychology and several research assistant positions at the University of Leeds, I joined the masters + PhD programme at the SGDP Centre. My PhD with Profs Thalia Eley and Gerome Breen focused on analysis of treatment-related phenotypes using both genetic (e.g. genome-wide association studies, genetic correlations and polygenic scores) and longitudinal structural equation modelling techniques. I worked with NHS patient records and cohort data, including the GLAD Study and UK Biobank.

I am currently a Research Fellow in Prof Eley's EDIT Lab, working on several projects related to anxiety. These involve prediction modelling, genome-wide association meta-analyses, and medical record linkage.
