Mr
Michele is a PhD student in the Department of European and International Studies at King’s College London, where he works under the supervision of Dr Edoardo Bressanelli. His research aims at measuring the causal relationship running from citizens’ demands and policy adopted at the EU level, and in understanding under which circumstances this link is more effective.
Michele holds a MSc in Economics and Management of Governments and International Organizations from Bocconi University (2016) and a MA in European Affairs from the Institut d’études politiques de Paris (2015). He also holds a BA in Political Sciences from the University of Naples “Federico II” (2014).
Teaching activity
Michele is a teaching assistant for the modules of Introduction to Political Science, Integration of the European Union and Comparative Political Systems (Dept. of Political Economy).
Other research interests include the impact that multi-level governance systems, like the EU, have on established representative democratic institutions and how the issues of legitimacy, accountability and responsiveness should be addressed in supranational settings.
