Biographical details

Mohammad Nayyeri is a PhD Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King’s College London.

Mohammad studied law up to PhD level in Tehran and he is an Attorney at Law and a member of the Iranian Central Bar Association. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Law (CBE) from the University of Westminster and an LLM in Human Rights from Birkbeck, University of London. He has worked as a legal advisor at Iran Human Rights Documentation Centre and as a Senior Associate at Human Rights in Iran Unit at University of Essex. His research papers and legal commentaries have been cited by the UN Secretary General and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran.

Mohammad's main research interests are in the fields of human rights, legal philosophy and international law. His PhD research, supervised by Dr. Lorenzo Zucca, explores the role of international legal practice in theorising human rights.
