Biographical details

Niall is currently working on the English and Romanian Adoptee Brain Imaging Study (ERABIS) in collaboration with Southampton University. This study aims to examine the long term impact of severe early deprivation on adult brain development. The results of the study will help to identify brain areas associated with early deprivation, and can further address fundamental questions about brain plasticity, sensitive periods, the heterogeneity and specificity of deprivation effects, and the mechanisms of adult psychopathology.

Research interests

Neuropsychology/neuropsychiatric and neurological disorders, with an emphasis on neuroimaging analysis.

Specifically: movement disorders, TBI, & psychosis
