Disturbances in sleep and circadian rhythm are frequently observed in individuals with psychotic disorders, however this association is poorly characterised.
My research examines the role of sleep disruption during relapse in schizophrenia, using mobile and wearable technologies to capture these variables.
It is hoped that this approach will lead to an improved understanding of the role of sleep disruption in the development of psychopathology, and provide clinically useful early warning signs of relapse.
