    Research interests

My current research focuses on the citizenship law and naturalisation practice of the Federal Republic of Germany after National Socialism. Drawing on documents gathered from over 15 different archives, mainly from Germany, I explore continuity and change in the Federal Republic's regulation of citizenship law and the application and interpretation of that law in administrative practice, legal judgements, and contestation by civil society groups and individuals.
